Rosina Roccamo
Working in the undergraduate lab, Rosi work to isolate and amplify bacteriophages for further bioinformatical analysis on the bacterial strain M. chloropheolicum. She also works towards discovering defense escape mechanisms with the host G. terrae 3612, using the phage Fairfaxidum, a cluster CV phage.
Rosi is a member of the class of 2021 with majors in Molecular Biology: Biochemistry and Italian: Language and Literature with a minor in Chemistry. She plans on working in Research post-graduation.
